Job Overview:

You will use your passion and experience to lead the lightning protection design team in the creation of innovative solutions. Our products and services save lives and buildings. You will lead the design engineering team using knowledge of NFPA 780, IEC62305, NEC and IEEE sets of standards with lightning and grounding simulation tools to advance the art and science of lightning protection.
Responsibilities
- Ensure alignment with the overall business plan as well as setting up efficient structures and processes that are the basis for our high-performance organization.
- Plan, develop, and grow the Design Engineering Team working in/on customer project execution, project management, product development, product management, application design, CAD drawings and simulation services
- Work closely with the Application Engineering Team with field application engineers and installation superintendents
- Develop and implement a Design Engineering Strategy in line with the local requirements and targets as well as the global approach
- Oversee multi-project execution and implement professional project management within Design Engineering. Ensure transparency to related departments like Sales.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors
- Identify training needs and ensure team member development and motivation
- In conjunction with HR Team, develop Training, Onboarding and Continuous Development programs for the Design Engineering Team.
- Continuous improvement of efficiency and processes
- Prepare budget estimations and support rolling forecast of Engineering cost.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical engineering field like Mechanical or Electrical.
- Master’s degree is a plus.
- At least 10 years of professional work experience in engineering or product development, with a focus on electric or electronic components.
- At least 5 years' experience in managing a team of engineers.
- Working experience with product lifecycle management (PLM).
- A Professional Engineer license is a plus.
